In my school im building an extremely cheap computer(absurdly cheap) but i want to give it to my mom. But the thing is the cpu is 1ghz. Its a asrock c70m1 but it can't even run windows 8 without stuttering. Can i upgrade my cpu?The manual and online isnt telling me anything and we only get 1 so i dont want to break it just to find out if its a possibility.

Yeah, you can.

Just search: Upgrading CPU. I already found sites.

Eh, don't expect any gaming out of it. I guess for basic usage it should be fine.

CPU will have to have the same socket as the Mobo.

The i3 4160 is considered to be able to run more than ample games to be considered a gamer's choice CPU within budget. It uses the LGA 1150 socket, so make sure you have a compatible MOBO before buying.
