I don't think Kaidos appearance will happen this year
This arc has about 20 chapters left with a lot of action to cover
-Luffy VS Mingo (probably gonna be about 6 chapters, with interruptions)
-Franky VS Hardboiled (2)
-Cavendish VS Trebol... Hakuba is probably going to come back, too (I give it 2)
-Zoro VS Pica (3)
-Kinemons partner to free (I'm definitely giving this 4 or 5 chapters)
-Jimbe to arrive (which will probably **** shit up in the process prolonging or shortening other events)
-Resolve with Kyros and Rebecca (1-2)
-Still some more of Kyros' past we don't know about, who was his 'best friend' that got killed when he was younger (1)
-Don't know about Mingos' past yet (if it's a flashback I'd expect maybe 5 or 6 chapterS)
-Still need a Law flashback (this might be intertwined with Mingos for the sake of convenience)
And they need to escape the island which will probably take around 2 chapters. This will be the first arc they don't party on afterwards since their are marines everywhere, unless something changes, quick
-And I'm sure Robin will come across some Poneglyph and reveal some uber history (2 chapters probably)
Might even kill 2 birds with one stone and have 2 battles going on in 1 chapter, to make it shorter. I'd say this arc is going to be the real top fiver when it's all done, since this is going to be well over 50 chapters. Guess Oda went super ambitious with this one.
Then we're going to get an update on Team Sanji and prooobably a flashback of the fight. And afterwards its on to Big Mams island. By then it'll be 20 weeks later, and we're already on the 30th week of the year.
So yeah, I don't think were going to see Kaido this year, but probably around mid March next year.
