Anyways, I never saw the anime because they had her always on a ridiculous attire which turned me from the anime :/ but Scarlett looks cool from I'm seeing and I'm willing to give her a try because I'm a fan of her

Or instead of complaining you accept that she is Caucasian even anime and manga writers have said in interviews that the typical anime character is white so there would be more variation. This is how Asian anime characters would look.

Like he already showed in that one picture of her she looked white beside that it is more easy for a Hollywood production to cast white people than Asians since there aren't that many Japanese immigrants around the whole world some Chinese Filipino Vietnamese Thai etc are already too darkskinned to look like these characters and last best black Asian white washing happens alot lately so who cares.

I don't think Scarlett will be capable of doing this movie or role any justice tbh.
Obvious that Holly Wood is just trying to use this as a quick cash cow by using a big name actor. =/ What a shame, seeing as the source material is so ****ing great and has so much potential to make a movie just as amazing as Inception/Matrix, or maybe even better.
It's a ****ing waste.

This tbh, i like her but she is not that great of an actress to be inherently so much better than any other potential option.

tbh, there were probably more qualified women to be given that role than Scarlett, but Hollywood doesn't normally take chances with unknown talent when they try to give a major adaptation mass appeal. They will usually cast someone most ppl already know of situations like that than worry about qualifications. Broadway does the same thing when it comes to plays.

I'm concerned about the people who considers an anime character white because of how they look. It doesn't even look like a realistic human being so how can you say this character "looks white"? What is "looking white" Don't even start going into the stereotype realm(blue eyes). That's not inclusive to white people. Do you think Naruto is white because of his hair and eyes and Sasuke is Asian because of his eyes and hair?What is Sakura than because I'm sure pink isn't a natural hair color.OP might find some type of excuse to justify why Makoto "Looks white" or something witless along those line. I mean he is already justifying this movie. The producers already try to make Scarlet "look Asian " instead of casting a real Asian woman..... But you know OP doesn't think this is about race or racist. :kk:

Yeah, Naruto looks white, and Sasuke looks more Asian. Makoto looks white, I'm not the only one here who thinks this.

I didn't know the producers tried to make Scarlett look asian, now I agree, that's wrong and if they wanted Asian looks they should've hired an Asian.

I swear it's a taboo for some people to admit an anime character looks white. Get over your insecurities.
