(Noroi no Aka Fuhai) - Curse of Scarlet Rot

Description: The Curse of Scarlet Rot is an exceptionally rare bioorganic substance that manifests as a fine pale red-powder. It was first produced by the Basmu, Beast of Rot, during the Great War fought against Marduk’s Pantheon. It is regarded as a curse among certain cultures and those who fall prey to its dangerous effects pass away from a nightmarish and agonizingly slow death. Those who make use of Scarlet Rot fall into one of two categories: basic and or an advanced user. An Advanced User is the current host of the Basmu, able to make full use of its Authority over the Scarlet Rot, one of the five components of the Genesis Seal. Its potency varies between the two types of users. Those who wield its basic version command the A-Rank application of the Curse of Scarlet Rot, inflicting 10 damage per turn for four turns to those afflicted by it. Those who command the advanced variant inflict 10% of the target’s maximum Health Points per turn for four turns, making it extremely dangerous to targets who have larger-than-normal health pools. It is also an exceptional weapon, regardless of user, against organic substances like Shikotsumyaku and Wood Release. These techniques can be ‘infected’ with it and also possess an effective elemental weakness against the damage of Scarlet Rot techniques. Curing Scarlet Rot requires the victim to purge it with Fire Release or a Fire-based element. A technique with higher Chakra than the one used to infect the user with Scarlet Rot must be used as well as targeting the point of infestation. When this is done the Fire Release technique used to purge it will inflict 50% less damage than normal to the victim and purge them of their Rot. Yang Release can also be used to heal Basic applications of Scarlet Rot, but only Suen and Fire Release can be used against Advanced applications. While a target is afflicted with the Scarlet Rot their body will begin to decompose; this includes high grade fever, which reduces the target’s speed by 3, hemorrhage, and gangrene of the afflicted area. Even after purging the Rot the effects of gangrene will still be prevalent, hindering the victim unless healed.
Note: The damage over time effect of the Curse of Scarlet Rot cannot be mitigated.

(Aka Fuhai: Fuhai Megami no Ishi) - Scarlet Rot: Will of the Rot Goddess

Description: Will of the Rot Goddess is the basic Scarlet Rot technique available to all its users. The user will manipulate the Scarlet Rot in their body to create waves, shields, storms, or any shape the user can imagine to fit their needs in any given instance. The user's proficiency with this technique varies depending on if they are a Basic User, or non-host, or the host of the Basmu itself, an Advanced User. Regardless of user this technique always carries the Curse of Scarlet Rot. Basic Users can apply this technique between C and S-Rank, inflicting the base damage provided by it up to a mid-range reach. Advanced Users can apply this technique up to long-range when in one of their three Ascensions. While in their Second or Final Ascension this technique will inflict, at S-Rank, 120 damage.
Note: C-A rank can be used six times per battle, once every two turns.
Note: S-Rank applications can be used three times per battle, once every two turns.

(Aka Fuhai: Kusatta Shukufuku) - Scarlet Rot: Rotten Blessing

Description: An empowering technique Scarlet Rot users apply to strengthen their Rot in exchange for their life. The host of the Basmu is able to use the A-Rank application of this technique, though at different costs. Activation requires a move and a slot in the timeframe, but is done without the need for hand seals or other motions. It unleashes a pink and red aura around the user’s body as a visual queue for the heightened change and empowered Rot. This technique increases the damage of Scarlet Rot techniques by 20 and the damage over time of the Rot by 5 per turn. Advanced Users gain the same damage increase but their damage over time is calculated now as 5 + 10% per turn for the duration this is active. Unique to this technique is that when activated it will empower Rot afflictions in targets even if they were afflicted before the Blessing was activated. Basic Users activate this technique at the cost of 40 Health Points. Advanced Users activate this without the need for Health but at slightly higher Chakra cost.
Note: Advanced Users must first obtain Deepened Connection II in order to activate this technique.
Note: The damage recoil is considered Scarlet Rot damage, only healable through Yang Release or Suen.

(Aka Fuhai: Sakuru Aka) - Scarlet Rot: Circle of Rot

Description: Circle of Rot is a fast acting defensive technique meant to keep enemies from entering or force them out of close quarters combat with the user. This technique passively carries with it the Curse of Scarlet Rot. Activation is carried out through simple arm movements and when triggered will cause a gust of Scarlet Rot to emerge from the user’s body outward to intercept combatants in close range. The advantage to this technique, despite its limited range, is that it can be cast as fast as standard Taijutsu in spite of its Chakra cost. However, it only reaches two meters from the user’s position and its speed is still correlated to that of Scarlet Rot itself.
Note: Usable three times per battle.

(Aka Fuhai: Fuhai Bunshin) - Scarlet Rot: Rot Clone

Description: Rot Clone is a technique used to form a perfect clone of the user out of their own Scarlet Rot. The technique obeys standard Clone rules and can make use of any Scarlet Rot technique the user normally has access to, including Advanced User techniques if the user is the host of the Basmu. The clone’s body naturally carries the Curse of Scarlet Rot making it a dangerous combatant in close quarters.

(Aka Fuhai: Kusatta Kekkai) – Scarlet Rot: Rotten Barrier
Type: Defensive, Supplementary

Description: A defensive Scarlet Rot technique designed to protect the user from incoming physical projectiles. It is erected with frightening speed, bursting outward from the user to fill short-range of their position with a dense cloud of Scarlet Rot. It emerges with such force that enemies within that range parameter will be launched backwards with considerable physical force. It passively carries the Curse of Scarlet Rot, able to infect those it repels or later interacts with. The barrier is sustained as long as the user remains inside of it. Once they leave its vicinity it will disperse, unless it is destroyed by a superior technique.
Note: Can be used four times per battle.
Note: When used by the Beast of Rot in its Final Ascension it will instead form like a protective layer of Rot around its body.

(Kinjutsu/Aka Fuhai: Aka Eonia) - Forbidden Technique/Scarlet Rot: Scarlet Aeonia

Description: Scarlet Aeonia is a powerful Kinjutsu belonging to users of Scarlet Rot. Its potency and application varies by the type of user commanding it in combat. At a baseline Scarlet Aeonia represents the ‘blooming of new life.’ It is a type of rebirth not unlike that Oral Snake Rebirth but repurposed in such a way that it is also offensive in nature. Upon activation the user will grow a lotus-like orange flower on their back, massive in size. It will curl into itself and then suddenly burst outward, unleashing a torrent of Scarlet Rot in the vicinity. Simultaneously its burst will also heal the user for 100 Health Points, able to regenerate complex wounds and even lost anatomy. Basic Users make use of this in a 100 damage explosion that reaches up to mid-range from their position. Advanced Users, specifically only those who have specialized in the Bloom Mastery, can make use of a higher damage application with significantly longer reach.
Note: Usable once per battle. After use the user is unable to use Scarlet Rot techniques for three turns.
Note: Requires the user to have Kinjutsu unless the user is the host of the Basmu and has specialized in the Bloom Mastery.

Description: Bloom is a Scarlet Rot technique available only to the host of the Basmu that has specialized in Bloom Mastery. Bloom makes use of any plant lifeforms, like mushrooms and cacti, born from Scarlet Rot on the battlefield. Through an infusion of Charka the user will ‘activate’ those lifeforms, causing them to bloom. This causes their flowers to open and release clouds of Scarlet Rot that spread outward from the plant’s position into mid-range. This technique can be activated on any plantlife within long-range of the user.

(Aka Fuhai: Jūyō Saifon) – Scarlet Rot: Vitality Siphon

Description: A supplementary technique that applies the principle of the Scarlet Rot’s ability to consume life. The user can siphon life from all Scarlet plantlife within mid-range of their position and use it to heal themselves for 70 Health Points per application. This withers all Scarlet plantlife within their position, killing it permanently.

Note: Only available to hosts of the Basmu who have specialized in Bloom and have Deepened Connection II.

(Kodai no Ikari) - Ancient Wrath

Description: Ancient Wrath is a unique attribute possessed by the first four Beasts of Tiamat in their free roaming states in the world when controlled by either a Moderator or Sensei, with permission of the Head Ninja World Moderator. It is a powerful boon to their combat capabilities, making them far more difficult to subdue, capture, or outright kill. This is not a technique but a passive enhancement constantly active on any Beast of Tiamat with the exception of CLASSIFIED. Passively their base speed is increased by six levels and the damage of all their abilities is increased by 20. They also gain Advanced Status Resistance, an effect that reduces the duration of any negative turn-based debuff (Genjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, Poison, etc) by two turns. Ancient Wrath also allows the Beast to use Taijutsu; their freeform attacks inflict 80 damage. Taijutsu techniques inflict an additional 30 damage.

(Kami Koroshi: Saisho Jōshō) - Godslayer: First Ascension

Description: Godslayer: First Ascension is the basic transformation accessible to the host of the Basmu, Beast of Rot. The first application of this technique partially transforms the user’s body to gain the visage of the Basmu; the user’s skin partially grows organic scales, similar to that of a snake’s, and they also gain a pair of angelic orange and red wings that hang from their back and are proportional to the size of their human body. The user also gains an orange energetic aura, though purely cosmetic, around their body, with streaks of yellow running through it. While in this state the host’s speed is increased by 2x and the damage of their Scarlet Rot techniques are also enhanced by an additional 20 points of damage. Because the user’s body adopts the anatomy of the Basmu they also gain the ability to fly with their wings. Upon activation the user’s body will be enveloped by a small cocoon of Scarlet Rot that will burst outward once their transformation is complete. The wave of Rot itself inflicts 70 physical damage.
Note: Lasts for four turns. If the user has unlocked Strengthened Bond II it will last for five turns.
Note: Requires the user to have gained Strengthened Bond I.

(Kami Koroshi: Banme Jōshō) - Godslayer: Second Ascension

Description: Godslayer: Second Ascension is the advanced transformation accessible to the host of the Basmu, Beast of Rot. Like the first ascension this adopts a much more bestial visage of the Basmu where the user’s body will undergo a transformation to become that of the Basmu but just on a much smaller scale. They shed all human characteristics, becoming a serpent roughly three times the size of an average human with large wings that fit that proportion. While in this state the user’s speed is increased by 3.5x and the damage of their Scarlet Rot techniques are also enhanced by an additional 30 points of damage. In addition to their natural flight the user’s body also becomes able to exist underwater without the need to breathe. Activation is similar to that of the First Ascension in that a cocoon of Scarlet Rot envelopes their form, yet it is much larger and the explosion that follows causes the wave of toxins to reach out to 40 meters from the user’s position in all directions. The enhancement provided by the Second Ascension causes the user’s Scarlet Rot to inflict an additional 10 damage per turn.
Note: Lasts for four turns. Can be used once per battle. If the user has unlocked Strengthened Bond III it can be used twice.

(Kami Koroshi: Saigo Jōshō) - Godslayer: Final Ascension

Description: Godslayer: Final Ascension is the complete transformation accessible to the host of the Basmu, Beast of Rot. Unlike its first two forms, the host will completely turn into the Basmu in terms of scale and power. In terms of size the Basmu’s body is twice that of Manda’s, with a pair of angelic wings that boast similar proportionality and are fully capable of flight. Despite their monstrous size the host’s speed is dramatically increased, enhanced by 4.0x. The damage of their Scarlet Rot techniques is further empowered to gain 40 points of damage. Activating the Final Ascension floods the battlefield with a devastating release of Scarlet Rot that inflicts 120 damage, spreading out to encompass up to 200 meters in all directions. The Final Ascension brings the user’s naturally produced Rot to match that of the Basmu’s full strength, increasing the damage it inflicts upon its victims by an additional 15 damage per turn.
Note: Lasts for four turns. Can be used once per battle.
