Cos I'm dead. Why would I want to? It makes our second life much easier for us as we don't have to feel the regrets or anything from our past lives. We generally get the choice but most of us eventually choose this path. It's the same reason we wear the masks, as well as granting us the ability to survive outside the domain and away from Lady Death without issue they also hide our identities so if we're sent on a task outside we won't be recognised as what we were...although I guess I'm lucky to have a name.

*he jumps slightly, surprised about the statement* mother? he. uhh...*he gives up trying to think of something to say realising he must have let it slip earlier and relaxes again, looking out of the window as he lifts the mask from his face*...It's what I believed would happen. I didn't expect to die so soon...well I guess ya never do, but if I did I thought I would still work for death or become a part of her cloak like many others...and I did. It's the same with all her shadows...except placebo which is her actual shadow.

*he shrugs lightly* my 'siblings' do. I don't know about hers. Grandmother died centuries ago, she's the reason we have the dragons, and Grandfather lives in the human realm using his 'time' after his retirement. Other then that I have no knowledge of how it works out...

I dunno. She's not really her much any more...and with Day of the Dead coming up as well as everything else she doesn't have the time for anyone really..
