The 2nd floor of our apartment ended up burned to a crisp because a mother left her child alone in the bedroom with a lighter and ran out the door leaving it wide open so the fire spread. We had to evacuate for almost the entire day.
As for my more irrational fright, I was reading a horror story late at night and had my cell phone next to me on the bed, set to vibrate. Took forever to return my heart rate to normal.
