Sorry but that's just how it is. If you want a love story, go read a romance novel, not a shonen manga.

Also, they will probably release a SasuSaku novel in the future, about the time when they traveled together, before Sarada was born. Is this the kind of thing you're looking for? lol

A Sasusaku novel will just destroy the remaining dignity of the characters. Who cares how and in what moment they became a couple? And why Sakura doesn't deserve a bye kiss is like a punishment. That is nothing to do with love.
From the first part we know that Sasuke loves his teammates, that can also be real love for Sakura too, but he cannot protect her so he considered himself weak, and shortly after he encountered Itachi and had a new self disapointment. That was the moment when he choose to seek power from Oro, was a mix of feelings and the need for revenge were too strong to keep in one's soul like Sasuke something so trivial like love for a girl. That's why he wanted to kill her because he is standing in front of his revenge. Is true that after tha final battle with Naruto his deep feelings came to light and he was prepared to accept that he loves Sakura finally.
So even when they are a real couple is hard to act romantic.
Is not like they are a happy couple but a strong connected ppl. This is a better riceipe for a family than romantic love.

The Movie was Canon so the Kiss scene in the movie is as valid as if it had happen in the Manga. At lest Naruto and Hinata did kiss compared to head poking by Sasuke. I don’t think head poking will be as popular as kissing.

Mah. Biggest example of fanservice right there is Sasusaku.

Not that I blame Kishimoto for pulling those two together - have you seen Sakura fangirls? Rabid demented little beasts that they are. His survival instincts must have kicked in, and hey presto - Sasuke magically likes Sakura back and they have a terrible marriage where their only offspring (so much for Clan revival huh?) questions her own paternity and the validity of her mother being married to a man (her father) whom she has never met.

I kind of adore him for giving them such a sh*tty marriage. That part at least lives up to expectations - that and Sakura being a terrible mother.

But yeah, if Sarada had been an experiment - or Karin's biological daughter it would have been an interesting development for their characters. Not to mention more believable. Because Sasuke falling in love with Sakura, of them getting together to have a kid - their marriage etc is a fair stretch of the imagination.

... and Sakura would get kudos for bringing up another woman's kid as a her own, I suppose. It would be nice to have some plot that revolves around bonds chosen/created that aren't down to blood/heritage/legacy and prophecy y'know?

SasuSaku is the most popular Naruto series het couple in Japan and the fans support it no matter what happens to the pairing. It is a major selling point to the series despite not having any relevance to the main plot.

If he didn't put them together, he'd lose more money than he would have if he had put them with someone else or left them alone.

He probably also gets a kick out of their reactions when they rage if he shows the pairing as dysfunctional, then laughs more when they switch to utter bliss a few pages later when he shows a family portrait. Much contrast, much wow.

Though, with all this being said- I do believe that with Sasuke's character change he came to love Sakura. Whether or not you think it makes sense or not is up to your own opinion. We won't ever know why anyway as no materials like a novel or movie for SS will be released like both were for NaruHina since Kishimoto said he thought doing so would feel contrived (if he added flashbacks to explain or something). I don't think any of the novel writers would be comfortable writing SS or have the ability to explain it, nor would Kishimoto let them. And since Studio Pierrot is not as fond of this couple like they are NH, they would never volunteer to animate an entire movie for them like they did for Hinata/Naruto.

Take it as it is. Your theories (albeit interesting as Sakura taking care of someone else's kid would make the former very selfless) were disproven. SS is canon and that's that. Sarada is their biological child and loves them both despite the awkward position of the family. Who cares if it's a little unrealistic? Just go with it and let pairing/SS fans enjoy their canonization.

All couples at the end of the manga bar NaruHina tbh.
Most of the stock character couples that were just there to fill space for the relevant character's parents (Fugaku/Mikoto, Shikaku/Yoshino, Rasa/Gaara's mom, etc).

The first two categories should be able to give you something. If not, then you will need to read another manga. :sdo:
