At the end of current chapter 690 we have a few loose ends / possible events.
One of the most questioned and interesting is Sasukes true goal.
Sasuke- What is his true goal?
We have all seen this panel repeatedly in reference to Sasukes ultimate goal.
One thing that Kishi loves to do is draw comparisons. So many times we have heard Itachi talk about 'illusions' 'contradictions' 'reality' 'deception'.
Now after Sasukes change in feelings we can see a direct contrast, he talks about a 'REAL' village and a 'REAL' kage. Does this mean his new goal is to now disperse all the illusions and dark secrets of the village? What does he mean by a real kage? Does this indicate that he believes the current kage are not worthy of their status due to the deception and lies that their villages carry?
How do you think Sasuke is going to achieve this? In realistic terms he will never become the Hokage of the leaf because of his crimes and the fact he is a rouge ninja. And you don't choose to become Hokage you are chosen by the village.
I think this definitely indicates that Sasukes 'real' dream is going to be something extremely drastic and evil.
Since Kishi loves dual comparions and similarities between characters I think Sasuke and Naruto are going to be in the exact same position as Hashirama and Madara were when the first Hokage was to be announced. Where Madara was not chosen for Hokage because the people wanted Hashi, I think this will be the exact same with Naruto.
A longshot theory I have is that Sasuke is going to gain Double Sharinnegan from Madara on his deathbed and try to use some form of the Izanami to make everyone realise the mistakes in their lives and to change their fate. Therefore demonstrating what a real Kage should make people do. Instead of what the current Kage have done, which to his brother was make him lie and deceive everyone and carry the burden of his clans death on his shoulders. Which in turn corrupted Sasuke himself.
I felt the whole story of the Izanami was so deep and interesting and got brushed aside so quickly after Kabuto. Thats the only way I can see Sasuke ''''demonstrating'''' to people and therefore creating a '''real''' village.
Anyway it's kinda late, you might think this is B.S or you might like it.
