[Discussion] Sasuke's true feelings

Seriously now, I understand that Sasuke has to fight Naruto and quite honestly I wouldn't want it otherwise BUT that doesn't explain why Sasuke hates Naruto this much.

Let's face the facts:

1) Sasuke wants to become hokage, so does Naruto and so a fight is unavoidable.

2) Sasuke was hating naruto all this time because he was trying to bring him back while he didn't want to. Apart from that, he didn't have any other reason.

3) Sasuke now has changed his mind and supposedly he's not a physco anymore since he doesn't hate everyone as he used to. His attitude towards Konoha 11 preety much shows that since he just doesn't care and he doesn't hold any grudge against them, not that he had a reason in the first place but anyway.

4)So here is my question: What makes Sasuke hate so much Naruto? It's not like we just talk about a rivalry. He clearly wants to wipe him out of existence.

In this page we clearly see that in the photo the cut, cuts Naruto in 2 halves, he really wants to kill him, it's not like he just doesn't want to see him anymore. I understand that there must be this rivalry between the 2 main characters to keep it interesting but my question is why does he hate him so much, since he decided to return to the village? I'ts not like he's forcing him anymore to do anything, so what pushes him to hate Naruto so much?

Sasuke is thinking as Konoha villagers in chapter 1. At difference of other villagers, Sasuke is the only one who hadn't aknowledged Naruto.

The photo is pretty obvious... he doesn't have interest in Naruto because he is just an obstacle to its objectives... Sasuke is aiming to destroy the Kyuubi.

I don't know but if you ask me this slash in the photo doesn't imply just a rivalry and it's not like the cut in th photo is between Naruto and the rest team 7 but rather on Naruto. It's not he doesn't want him in his life, he doesn't want him alive in general. At least that's what this photo seems to imply.

Hmm, this actually might be quite a good explanation for his acts... still though, it seems to have more to do with his personnal hate. In any case, I like this idea, rep.

Lol don't oversimplify in such a way but yes. After all, Kishimoto very often leaves that kind of clues and also the way it's slashed is what it makes me believe so, not just the fact that cuts Naruto from the rest team in general.

Sasuke doesn't have any personal interest in Naruto. He is aiming for the Kyuubi, as for the Juubi.

I do understand that but what I'm looking for is an atual reason for his actions, not jsut becuase the plot says so.

We have yet to see. Perhaps the reason could be their bond of friendship. He's unable to sever it because Naruto keeps coming back and he hates the fact that his ties to Naruto make him vulnerable. Remember he always wanted to be strong on his own.

I just think that he needs a better motivation now. Naruto no longer forces him to return to the village since he will do on his own nor does he stand any longer an obstacle for his quest for power.

I think that's part of it, but I also think that Naruto represents the past to Sasuke, Naruto as a Jinchuriki represents the mistakes of the Hokages.

I believe that naruto had no part in what sasuke said but the kyuubi does along with all the other bijuu so basically, either by juubito, madara or naruto, sasuke won't make it because none of them three will allow him to stand in their way.
