he caught up to his speed in a month do honestly think he hasn't gotten faster, he's been in actual combat this whole time he's been gone from the village while lee has been doing what hand stand push ups. If you have watched/read the manga hard work without talent doesn't get rewarded, whole reason we've only seen one kick from him this whole war. i would say he's about as fast lee up to 4 gates i give the advantage to lee after that in speed.

I don't really think that their speeds are equal. I personally think the idea is ludicrous. I'm just pointing out to the other side how ludicrous things like that can be "proven" using the same logic. I actually used the same logic people use to prove that Sasuke is faster. Such as, "Sakura is in danger, so there's no way either used less than full speed."

Do you know one can outspeed someone else just by putting chakra into their feet, and use shunshin .
Shisui was known for his shunshin in the manga and he is also uchiha , which alone proves one don't need to get cheat codes like KM/BM to be faster, one can get fast by just training their body and chakra control .
This is why lee was very fast in part 1 , because he trained his body.

Now obviously, Hiruzen is edo so he has infinite chakra and so he can use as much chakra on shunshin as he wants to.
This is why it took hokages very less time to reach battlefied from konoha than the shinobi alliance (and they were not very far from current battlefield ) .
Sasuke , even without being edo was able to reach the battlefield just a few minutes later. This alone proves his base speed.
Also, Kishi used plot no jutsu and made sasuke reach late, just like he used to be late in old days which is why naruto said

So, no ... your logic is flawed. Minato had to run to the battlefield, otherwise he would have just ftg there.
