He wasn't apologizing for the things he did. He was apologizing for the hassle Kakashi went through to pardon him.

Sasuke already apologized in the valley.

They should be grateful that they even got that.

Sasuke is protecting the world from the shadows.

He's showing his redemption through his ACTIONS instead of mere words.

Get over it.

Not really. That's a completely subjective idea. In my opinion, he isn't bad for staying true to himself, even if he comes off as selfish, which isn't true, since he's always helping people now.

For example; I could be considered selfish by not giving my mom grandchildren, or by throwing out the old values I grew up with. You could say I abandoned my family, and that I was selfish.

Or you could say that I was just accepting my self for what I am, and not letting others perception of me decide to change my self. Everyone walks a different path, and just because it doesn't flow with someone else's, even family, doesn't make it a bad path. I'm not going to turn straight to please my family and be a good, obedient child. And I'm not going to deny the things I want to do in life, and I will walk my path and tell my family the truth about how I feel.

I'm sure sasuke and Sakura have talked about this. Now if he left without saying anything, or lied about his reasons, he'd be a bad guy. But sometimes people just walk different directions in life, and expecting someone to walk where you want them would actually be wrong.
Since when did doing what you want free you from society's judgement? It doesn't. Killers do what they want and they are called bad people. Leaving a daughter when she clearly needs a father is wrong.

I'm not saying he's a bad guy. He's neutral until we see his reasons but doing what you want does not free you from being bad.

Actions and reasons determine why someone is bad or good. It's not possible to say doing what you want clears you of that judgement unless you're arguing bad and good shouldn't matter. And that too is bad thinking.
