Sasuke's situation

Okay, first off, I'm going to lay down the majority of Sasuke's position in the fans. Some people love this kid to pieces, others hate this kid to pieces. Here's what I think of Sasuke.
Now, to understand Sasuke, you have to understand two things.
(1) Trauma to a certain extent
(2) Isolation
Let's start with trauma. Now, Sasuke's trauma all started after a long day at the academy, going home to his parents, only to find that they, and the whole clan were killed. If that weren't enough, thanks to big bro Itachi, he saw it happen. Going through all that at a young age would be a lot to handle, and that would stick with you for the rest of your life. I don't think anyone has the mental stability, nor maturity to handle that sort of thing. There's only two people in the series who try to help with Sasuke's trauma. Naruto, and Kakashi.
Now, thats it for Sasuke's trauma. Now, for his isolation.
Sasuke, he's one of those people who willingly chooses to be alone. And I don't blame him. I honestly do not blame him, after what he's been through.
Now, look back at chapter 402. What do you see? Sasuke crying at the sunset. Now, why do you think he's crying? Cause he screwed up. He screwed up BIG time. He thought he would get the revenge he always wanted from killing Itachi, instead it lead to more pain, and revenge. If anybody was put into Sasuke's situation, I guarantee they will do the exact same thing.
Now, this thread was not made for fanboy-ing on Sasuke. Nor was it to flame Sasuke. Just to dim down some of the Sasuke fanboys, and Sasuke flamers. If you want to share your opinion on Sasuke, and this thread, feel free to do so.

i've never found sasuke to be evil, he's just a victim of his circumstances.

i mean, seeing his entire clan killed by his brother, then knowing that his older brother is a konoha's scapegoat.

I recently saw both a lot of Sasuke fanboys, and flamers more than I did usually. So, I took the opportunity to make a thread to try and lessen the ammount of fanboys and flamers.

A lot of people won't realize those facts, that why the see Sasuke as emo or whatever. He went through serious trauma at a young age and was told that in order to fix things he would have to kill his older brother. All he knew from youth was revenge and hate, implanted into him by his elders. Naruto was lonely but was just that way from the start.

lol sasuke hate has been around this site ever since he fought at the summit its pretty ridiculous and saying someones emo because of this lol? this?!? wow i dont get people sometimes. being at the young age he could having his family and clan killed by his brother, have his brother show him how it happened with him in the genjutsu begging itachi to make it stop, then to be led down the path using all ur childhood years being taught that u have to kill this man for the terrible things he did, then he finally kills him and finds out itachi was the only one left in the world that cared about him. I agree to what you have said but if i imagine myself in his position i would have helped konoha to destroy madara and tobi and kabuto instead of teaming up with them because it was my elders brothers dream but its just my opinion

i get you on that as well but me knowing my personality it would be soo so hard for me to hold in my feelings and work with people that ruined me and my brothers lives and even got my clan killed by family. even with itachis wishes and holding in pain makes things worse but i truely feel that we will be surprised by sasuke soon

My point is that nobody should flame Sasuke by calling him "Emo", and stuff. However, that doesn't mean people have to like him. You can dislike Sasuke. I'm fine with that. I'm just encouraging people to not flame him as much as most do. Long story short, this thread explains why people shouldn't hate Sasuke.

Excellent post, couldn't agree more. Regarding those who hold intense hatred of Sasuke's character, it seems as though they can only grasp one of the points you mentioned, and even then, they distort it by bunching it together with Naruto's situation, as if they're the same thing, when it's quite clear that they aren't.
