Sasuke still read through the hand seals.The thing which made sasuke got amazed was because itachi was managed to perform hand seals in the middle of the battle.



Kurenai was a fodder so no wonder she got amazed by itachi's hand seal speed.Every jounin can perform Hand seals fast however only exceptional ninjas can perform hand seals exceptionally fast.

2: Sasuke's Shurikenjutsu is good, but Itachi was able to block them and weave handsigns simultaneously and Jiraiya's Ninja Skill is on par with Itachi's as the DataBook suggest

LOL Sasuke said in his own quote that no matter how fast a hand seal is , the sharingan will read right through it. Yet the two scans is two sharingan users whose eyes are not even able to keep up w/ itachi.
