Sasuke's Sharingan and ability to control Bijuu

In the chapter where naurto, sai, sakura and yamato infiltrate orochimaru's hideout, Sasuke uses his Sharingan to Suppress the Nine tail fox's chakra from helping naruto.

My question is, why wasn't he able to do the same in the fight with the 8 tails. I was under the impression the ninetails was the strongest tailed beast, hence if sasuke can suppress it, he should have been able to do the same to the 8 tails. Ne thoughts?

We don't know if the Uchiha's can control the other bijuu. We know they can control the kyuubi, but we don't know if they can control all the others.

The Sharingan can only control the nine tails. We don't know how or by what means they came to control it though.

maybe cause kirabi has already removed the seal and 8 tails isnt inside the cage, and so if sasuke apears in that inner dimension, 8 tails rips him apart if not kirabi has already done already that. just a guess

i think they do it whit genjutsu like when sasuke controled Manda, why because they share similar image when controled which is Manda's eye's get some type of sharigan and the same for the kyuubi with madara on a manga.

Well it was never a full 9-tails kyuubi that sasuke was able to suppress.. it was only a minuscle amount of kyuubi chakra that he was able to suppress.. rem kyuubi is sealed inside the seal and only some of its chakra is able to leak out of it.. tht was the only thing sasuke suppressed..

I don't think Sasuke has the chakra or the ability as yet to control a full grown tailed beast... as Danzo said in the latest chapter.. only 4 ppl in history hav had the ability to control tailed beasts.. well 2 mainly.. madara n 1st.. the other 2 cud only control their own tailed bests respectively.. I don't know if this means Madara can control any beasts.. but I am suspecting he cud... I think Itachi told sasuke abt the secret shrine place wher the secrets of sharingan r written n also how to control the 9-tails using sharingan power is also written in it... (Chapt 385 pg 16)... I think its not jus 9-tails but any tailed beast

So thats y sasuke cudn't control a fully grown 8-tails.. rather then jus compressin a small amount of kyuubi chakra!!

Sharingan user can control all the tail beast, Madara was capable of controlling the 9 tail fox, and the 3 tail host...

As far as we -know- right now, the Sharingan can only control the Kyuubi.
It said the three-tailed host was being manipualted, but that doesn't mean Bijuu control is the only way that could happen.

When Danzou was speaking at the Kage Summit about people and their ability to control bijuu, he may have meant one or more bijuu, not every person could control -all- of them.
I'm not saying it's impossible; just that people are jumping to conclusions.

But if it was true, KillerBee has the ability to control the 8 tails too, right? So it'd make the Sharingan useless against him in battle.

killer bee actually explains why he isnt affected by sharingan
basically because him and his bijuu are buddies if sasuke tries genjutsu on him, hachibi will disrupt his chakra flow for him ending the genjutsu and vis versa
and if sasuke did go inside him, he would beat the crap out of him for hachi's entertainment.. lol

mangekyo sharingan controls the nine-tails. only the mangekyo can do it and it only controls the nine-tails there was discussion of his contol of the three-tails but that must have been done by other means(though still probally using the sharingan)
