Because it's the Júbi eye, both Kaguya and the Juubi got 1, Sharinnegan.

Rinnegan has different versions it seems. Sasuke got the one Kaguya and the jyuubi had while Madara and Rikudo got the plain tomoe free one.

Oh ok that kinda makes sense, so what do you think would happen to the other eye he should at least activate EMS just so we see it paired with the 'sharinnegan' (if that's what its called)?

yeah.. it was obvious what powers they'd have when they woke up. the only thing i didn't see coming was Naruto using the individual properties of each of the Bijuu.. although so far it's was only Son Goku.. however, since he only has a little of his chakra, but enough to access his consciousness, i figure he could do it with the rest of them too. that was totally badass.

but yeah Sasuke's Rinnegan--and yes, it's a Rinnegan--is like the Original rinnegan, the one the juubi had. it seems to me he can use both sharingan and rinnegan powers at once, whereas Madara needs to apparently switch between his EMS and his Rinnegan to use their individual powers

False. He casually used his Susnaoo, while his rinnegan was active.
