I do see 3 circles all containing a tomoe....most likely meaning a full set of 9 tomoe. It could also be possible for Sasuke to turn off a individual tomoe.....the thing is, is that these are all just speculations.

You don't need the juubi to awaken the eye...as you don't need Indra to awaken PS...just chakra from them in some way. Well Madara was closer to Kaguya than Indra...sasuke got direct power from the sage instead of indirect power. Madara and Obito got two different sides of the power...meaning the sage himself and his brother...maybe indra and ashura's too. Its not an excuse...its an opinion...a valid one, two down...

6 Tomoes kind of make sense. Naruto obtained the senjutsu of the six paths, same can apply to Sasuke tomoes.

Hardly, after all these chapters you still speculate that Sasuke has a 9tomoe'd Rinnegan while he has shown 6 for the longest time now.
Even the wiki has a legit picture of a 6 tomoe'd Rinnegan.

The 3rd eye that both Madara and Kaguya posseded however, did have nine tomoes.

I find it so funny that when somebody actually presents some actual material to me instead of their assumptions, it comes from naruto wikia. Lol that sight has just as much of an idea of what it really is as us. Naruto wikia is an OK site, but not 100% credible. I've seen some pretty false stuff on there before, and also left out information. Unless that was released by kishimoto or some other official source, those drawings of sasuke are inaccurate.
Edit: also, you said they were "legit". Naruto wikia is not a legit source. It is run by fans just like you and I. Just the same as wikipedia

there is only one panel showing sasuke with 9 tomoe, every panel after that has 6. if it was him loosing tomoe when he uses his technique, then he would eventually have none, but that's not the case. it's obvious that at kishi made a mistake at first having the 9 tomoe, and changed it after that. the forehead eye and sasuke's eye are not even the same thing. the forehead eye is a 9 tomoe sharingan. sasuke's eye is a 6 tomoe rennigan.
