Nah, its his rinnegan though, I'm glad it is so that's why this is possible. His regular eyes being the alt "ultimate" dojutsu should mean an entirely new forehead dojutsu. Makes sense though. His methods could be going close to the moon like Madara, or something entirely different. I seriously doubt anything can top what happened last chapter.

You don't need the juubi to awaken the eye...as you don't need Indra to awaken PS...just chakra from them in some way. Well Madara was closer to Kaguya than Indra...sasuke got direct power from the sage instead of indirect power. Madara and Obito got two different sides of the power...meaning the sage himself and his brother...maybe indra and ashura's too. Its not an excuse...its an opinion...a valid one, two down...

There is always I little bit of uncertainty or assumptions, but I actually had two scans to prove myself whereas they had nothing. And for the record, half of the time you can't even make out that sasuke has two sets of tomoe. Most of the time it's too small to zoom in and see. I could be wrong, it is possible but nobody has bothered to see my point of view.

it only shows 5, but it really never shows more than five. You have to look at what row/ring the tomoe are on, but I guess nobody is smart enough to look closer than just a glance.

Just because he's only shown 6 after that time doesn't mean he only has 6! That's just fan speculation! Why would he only have 6 when the juubi, madara, and Kaguya have 9. Stop assuming it's confirmed when kishi never even said anything about it. He has 9, it's just part if his ability. The limitation on how many times he can use that ability shows in how many tomoes he has.

You can clearly all the rinnegan lines, and only see 6 tomoe. He has 6tomoe now.

here's a page with no tomoe. Which like I said, a set of tomoe disappears after each use if the eye. Then shortly after that sasuke closed his eye to recharge. But I know what some if you will say already, "oh that was just a mistake by kishi".
