Exactly. We have no evidence that it's red. It could be teal for all we know.

Though it's likely 50/50 red or purple. It all depends if it's a advanced Sharingan or advanced Rinnegan.

I think there's a yin, and yang version of the Juubi eye. The one Kaguya/Juubi has are the yin/dark version which is red, and Sasuke the Yang/light version which is blue. Each have their own powers. I did think what the OP said originally, I thought it was red at first.
I also think that if this new eye is blue like the rinnegan, than Sasuke's other sharingan may turn blue also. Kishimoto has already given Obito this look, so he's gonna want to change the color palette up for Sasuke.
