Well as we all know Sasuke doesn't know the truth about the Uchiha massacre, of course once he does find out he will go straight after Obito and Madara. But if this were to happen, wouldn't this contradict many aspects of what Kishi has been portraying through the series? Kakashi stated back in part 1 'that the path of revenge only ends badly'. But if Sasuke kills Obito or seals Madara then the purpose of that line would be defeated. Kishi has portrayed many times that revenge is not the answer to anything and only ends up in a horrid life, So wouldn't Sasuke getting revenge for the Uchiha contradict Kishi's ideals?
Yeah... pretty much, but it's not the first time Kishi kinda shits on his own words. (through Kakashi)
Shikamaru, Ino and Choji going after Hidan and Kakuzu was pretty much purely for revenge. Kakashi himself even helped them.
Sure, why not take Akatsuki down when you have the opportunity to do so??? But it was the same for Sasuke.... he wanted to get stronger to take Itachi down, who was with Nagato the strongest member of Akatsuki (not counting Obito here).
Kakashi was only spitting pretty words to make Sasuke stay with them, it was pretty much out of selfishness rather than pure common sense.
Sasuke getting stronger meant that he was going to kill a huge ''threat'' (yet fake of course) to the shinobi world.
I just think that the message was meant to
foreshadow Sasuke's downfall due to the revelation of Itachi's truth.... as lets be honest, in this very case, going after revenge only lead to a nightmare for Sasuke.
