I understand he doesnt care. But he cant survive alone. I know he can live alone but he still needs to eat, sleep safely. He'll constantly be under attack.

He did put efforts in stopping the war, not saying its water under the bridge, but it grants him some type of amnesty. Of course alot of people won't trust him, mainly the Hidden Cloud, but who is to say he will be around once IT is released, he may just go off radar for a while to reevaluate himself.

There is not a single ninja bar Naruto who is a threat to Sasuke. Even if there was a single ninja or ninja's that was even brave enough to attempt a sneak attack, we've already seen from early Shippuden that Sasuke has ways of detecting intruders even when asleep. Please, he doesn't need Naruto's "protection"

Didn't he contribute highly to the start of the War to begin with?

I think if Naruto forgives him (he probably will) then everyone will follow. Also, if they don't he can just go into hiding, nobody can touch him except for Naruto anyways (in the gay sense too).
