Actually Madara is the most popular character, but most of his fans are band wagoner's who only like him because of his power and his one liners. I always saw him as a flat character that has the least development.

Personally never cared for Minato, he is a standard Mary Sue character.

Sasuke isn't as popular as you might think, he is just the most wanked and over hyped. His fanboys create more threads then any other fanbase on Narutobase, and that is biggest source of Sasuke hate on this forum.

Sasuke is still a reasonably popular character, I believe that he and Naruto have held the number 1 and 2 positions on most of the popularity polls.

He is my second favorite main character After Kakashi.

He is alright. Not among my top faves but among the characters who hog most paneltime, he is the most interesting compared to likes of Naruto, Sakura, deadass Minato, Ino-Shika-Cho, Hashi-Maddie(last year spring season) etc.
