My bad, someone else did lol, I understand what you're saying, but think of it like this, 6 pieces to a puzzle, all part of the same thing, all come in the same box, but if you've never seen the picture before, you'll have no idea how to put it together (comparison obviously works better with 100 piece puzzle but I said 6 to relate to rinnegan)

I agree. I think the issue is that people were expecting the same type of path usage Nagato had. I was under the assumption that the Rinnegan works a lot like the Sharingan. Depending on the user abilities differ. Like no one else used limbo clones like Madara
No one else uses Ameno like Sasuke
No one uses Shinra Tensei or Bansho Tennin like Nagato

Doesn't mean they don't have the path but they are used in uniquely different ways depending on the user.

Madara gave his eyes to nagato and learned from how nagato used them, nagato used his primal instincts and rage to discover the techniques, he didn't train, he got lucky, why you're bringing up jman I don't know.... obito only ever used outer path on the dead jins and madara, something he could've easily copied from nagato. Who said there was no listing of rinnegan techs on the Uchida tablet though? There were specific parts only decipherable by the rinnegan so don't count that out...

That logic doesn't work here though. Just like Mangekyou Sharingan users will naturally know their own abilities over time, the same would happen with the Rinnegan. Nobody taught Madara or assumingly Nagato.

You really think one day itachi was just sitting there after shisui killed himself and realized out of nowhere "I can control time in my genjutsu" or shisui for that matter "I can control people without them knowing"? No, it's called training, having the rinnegan gives him the potential to use all 6 paths, but not the ability

Yes, that's how it works. You don't just think of random abilities and create them out of nowhere. Do you think Itachi thought one day that he might be able to burn things with his eyes if he trained or create a guardian made out of chakra that no one else could? Do you think Kakashi or Obito just thought that maybe they'd be able to distort space with their eyes if they tried hard enough?
