I don't think that those eyes are important or precious, they (being half blind) are just damaged goods IMO.

U sound dumb itachi's eyes were completely blind & was still supposedly implanted

Sasuke eyes weren't completely blind & has always been stated as great & had more potential sooo there is still some use

Also the eyes sasuke currently have still contains his pattern & socket power (left amaretsu right genjutsu) meaning possibly fusion or simple power transfer
