I think I know why he went from 6 tomoe to 0. Whatever the tech is that he is using he either needed double the chakra or twice the usage to attack in limbo.

Ok I think I got it now. Sasuke threw his sword at Madara's clone but it didnt hit him. That is when he realized something was strange about the clone. When Madara realized he could see his clone he went to attack him with it. So Sasuke had to retrieve his sword and send it to limbo to attack the clone. Therefore he had to use his new technique twice and that explains why it seems he went from 9 to 6 to 0.

I should get a cookie too for figuring this out.

Nice observation but may have to do with the technique he is using. Im not sure if its tsukiyomi or izanagi but it could be an explination as to why this is occurring.

Now that ive looked over it again I am certain this has to do with the technique he is using. Right before he dodges the lightning there are 9 tomoe. Afterwards he his holding his eye with only 6 tomoe. After he throws the sword there are none. I would think that the next stage would be 3 tomoe but it goes from 6 to 0. It could be a page missing or something. Either way it seems the two seem to be related.
