A funny but possibly reason is that when returning to the Uchiha district and searching the homes for memories, weapons, journals, jutsu-scrolls and other things, he came across Obito's supposed journal. In the journal, Obito paints Kakashi out to be an ass-hole which is where Kakashi earns his hatred from Sasuke. Which would also explain why Sasuke never asked Kakashi about who gave him the eye, he might have assumed Kakashi took it from Obito.

Fanfic, but plausible.
