As we all know the Uchiha have been claimed by this so called "cycle of hatred", and I am here to elaborate on a Criminology view towards Sasuke Uchiha's motives.
"People who are crime victims may be more likely to commit crime themselves. The process tends to begin early in life. People who were physically or sexually abused, especially in young males, are much more likely to commit crimes rather than non-abused youth. Some may run away, increasing their risk of becoming a crime victim. Others may seek revenge against the people who harmed them, and sometimes these feelings are generalized towards others who exhibit the same characteristics as their attackers. The abuse-crime phenomenon is referred to as the cycle of violence." - The Core.
As you have just learned, "the process of victimization usually begins in early life". Sasuke was a victim to watching his entire clan get slaughtered, but most importantly, he had to watch his mother and father get killed by his own brother, Itachi.
We also find that Sasuke becomes a runaway in search of power, which is another characteristic of becoming a criminal.
"Victims may seek revenge against the person(s) who harmed them." Since that day Sasuke has lived his entire life to kill his older brother.
As we continue on, we read that the victim may also seek revenge against the person(s) who exhibited the "Same Characteristics", in which instance their were. As a result of this, we find out that his brother was merely a puppet of Danzo and the Elders. In fact, it was their plan to kill his kinsman and have Itachi become a rouge ninja.
As we fast forward we find that Sasuke decided to execute the 5 kages as well. The answer for this is simple, because of the corruption that the previous Kage have caused, he believes that with his "Revolution" he can free the villages from darkness.
Lastly,
We obviously have not finished the manga yet and Sasuke's resolve is still to be determined but this is what I have compiled up to this point. I was only hoping to justify his position as a victim of crime.
Please be respectful, and Enjoy.
