Why is it that when Sasuke was eight, he was placed in a three day genjutsu and awoke from it, ready to fight his brother a moment later. Then at the hotel, this fool passes out into a freaking coma. What the hell? Did Itachi improve? Manga-wise he hasn't trained since the massacre and rarely used the MS.

Why was he so mentally weak at thirteen but strong at eight. Most of us would go insane being the survivor of a genocide that included our parents, so kudo's to Sasuke.

Was the first time a Tsukiyomi for certain? That could be your answer.

I think Itachi put him in a normal genjutsu the first time just to show the events in a manner that'd fuel Sasuke's hate towards Itachi.

He passed out both times though. Still, it doesn't take much to see that Itachi would go easier on a kid Sasuke then he would on a teen Sasuke.

I'd also take into account Sasuke's disappointment and shock of Itachi beating him so effortlessly despite him training hard.

The first time wasn't Tsukuyomi whereas the second1 was..

He only got to see the clan massacre like a video that Itachi recorded the first time.. While the second time he was in Tsukuyomi an Itachi put the pain of those being massacred into the fray where Sasuke felt all of it..
