Sasuke returns to Konoha and is before the panel of judges who accuses him of being a rogue ninja and doing a lot of bad things. Kakashi stands to defend him before the Jounin council.
Council: Sasuke ran off to join our enemy who just destroyed Konoha.
Kakashi: Oh well, I know some of us were happy when we heard that Orochimaru died, so it was kinda a good deed.
Council: But after that, he did a lot of bad things and the raikage went mad when he captured Bee.
Kakashi: Bad things like what? He defeated Deidera, an akatsuki member who captured Gaara. Killed Itachi, we all thought he was a bad guy and his death was kind of pleasing too. Tried capturing Bee and failed, well, its not a bad thing either.
Council: He joined Akatsuki and attacked the 5kages meeting and killed Danzo.
Kakashi: Hmmm, well, he was talked into joining and he didnt attack the meeting. He came there for Danzo, but Zetsu betrayed him then the Raikage attacked him. He had to fght back. Besides, none of us was willing to vote Danzo as the next hokage, so Sasuke actually did good for us by killing Danzo.
Council: He was a member of Akatsuki who started the war.
Kakashi: What did Sasuke do in the war? Killed white zetsu, defeated Kabuto with Itachi and the edo tensei was cancelled, he helped to bring back the hokages who turned the tide of the war for us. All he did in the war was good.
Council: So you're basically saying that Sasuke is a good guy.
Kakashi: WELL, SASUKE WAS A BAD GUY THAT DID GOOD DEEDS.
