This was sasukes plan since he talked to the kages and got to the battlefield with naruto, yes he did change and doesn't want to destroy the village anymore, but not in the way some people thought. why do you think jugo ask sasuke " what are you thinking sasuke" and how he acted toward the ten tails. he was gonna do this all along but couldn't because of the strong foes at the time.
