A key thing to note is this:

Immortality is not invincibility. Sure you can be immortal like a Tolkien elf yet you can still die from a sword or a wound that cannot be healed by normal means, or you can be sealed.

Honestly his statement while it shows he has thought this through hasn't convinced me his plan can work. There are far to many problems for example, Sasuke needs to remain true to his ideals forever....Something that with his flighty changing of mind I don't think he can do. Not to mention the sheer mental trauma of doing what he is proposing. He would likely break mentally before the first millennium.

It doesn't solve the problem ever after it all depends on his ability to endure. And while he is formidable I believe time to be a far more potent enemy than he is imagining.

Basically he is trying to become the god emperor like in 40k....we saw how well that turned out for the emperor no?

i agree...sasuke`s choice making seems way too unstable for him to hold on to a conviction as long as naruto for example...he is just way too unstable emotionally

This time.. Sasuke is damn serious. He won't back down now. And over his thoughts changing overtime: Nope, he has made his descision by analysing the whole shinobi world, it's his own answer.

Perhaps but forever is a long time to be acting like a band-aid. I doubt his mental fortitude is up to the task. He is talking about a truly unimaginable period of time especially to his current experience.

Honestly I doubt any person can do it without going mad. You need to find a solution that changes humanity permanently long long after your dead or insane.

His answer isn't an answer its a case of indefinite postponement of a problem.

You do have a point but Sasuke isn't a child anymore too. On the other hand, he is hinting at his Sharingan and Rinnegan to have some tricks as well. His ideology combined with one eye that reflects feelings and one that rules rebirth cycle.. I feel everything is possible.
