the only reason that the uchiha clan ever decided to plan a coup was because the leaf became suspicious of who was behind the nine tales attack 16 years ago "since only the uchiha ocular powers can control the nine tales". the elders thought an uchiha was behind behind the attack, we learnd this in shippuden episode 140 when madara explains the history of the massacre, BUT you will noticed that madara claims to sasuke that it was a natural disaster and that no one had control of the nine tails so the elders had NO reason to blame the uchiha. ALTHOUGH it WAS madara that planned the attack for his revenge 16 years ago, which he DOES NOT tell sasuke....making sasuke believe that the elders and konoh are the true enemy for blaming his clan behind the nine tails attack which FORCED the uchiha to take action and try to form a coup. .... this is when konaha sends itachi as a spy and later orders him to kill the entire uchiha clan...... so you see if madara never attacked the village 16 years ago, konoha would have never have had to get suspicious and blame the rest of the uchiha clan, making madara the TRUE enemy of sasuke, this is another reason why in ep. shippuden 139 madara claims to himself that not even itachi knew everything about him and that if he did, madara would be dead..... you see NO ONE knows that madara was the one that attacked the konoha 16 years ago, everyone thought he died back when he fought the first hokage.....so i believe that sasuke will find out the truth that madara was the reason for the blame on the uchiha for the attack 16 years ago and that the oder for itachi to kill the entier clan would have NEVER been given if madara never attacked the village 16 years ago, for i think there is still hope for sasuke to redeem his name once the TRUTH is EXSPOSED and possibly help naruto kill madara, though i still believe sasuke will die at the end......
