Sasuke's future is a lot darker than we think [Boruto Theory][How "somebody" dies]
Sasuke's common themes throughout the entire series can be summed up as two separate things;
(1) Betrayal
(2) Revenge
That's essentially Sasuke's character for the vast majority of the series. You can add in things like, "redemption" or "love", but those aren't really his DEFINING qualities. Even when we see Sasuke now, he's incredibly cold and distant with those that he deals with, as though he did not want to be speaking with them.
I don't think Sasuke's theme of revenge is over yet. And as far as we know, Naruto is dead. I highly doubt that the little punk at the start of the flash-forward is the one who killed Naruto alone, rather, he simply had Sasuke do what he could to weaken him, and then the new guy finished Naruto off. I say this because the author made it a point to say in the latest chapter that "Sasuke was the only one to rival Naruto";
Foreshadowing much? Sasuke and Naruto will fight again, and the result will be sasuke winning, but leaving.
So, let's assume my prediction is true. Where does Sasuke go from there? He won't be wanted by any neighboring village after a SECOND betrayal. Sasuke has always been a lone wolf;
Will we see this Sasuke again?
I say yes. This latest villain has a bunch of big talk about the end of ninja - which is exactly what Sasuke wanted back when he was trying to institute his new regime. Until then, though, where will he go?
It would have to be somewhere where his abilities are accepted. Where he can practice his jutsu skill without a second look - it would take some adapting, but he could manage. He would be regarded as a genius, and although distant and cold to those around him, he would be respected as powerful. Let's take a look at this panel;
Clearly, he is respected, although distant and cold.
But Sasuke's good nature, deep down, is not something that will be forever lost. In his new confidants and village, he will take part in a plan to bring down a great evil of the world, similar to Kaguya. Guilt from his previous betrayal and abandonment of Kohona will overcome him, and he will agree to take part in bringing down this new threat.
...But not before one final betrayal. Sasuke's character is all about taking the brunt of hate, doing what is necessary, and looking like the enemy.
Unfortunately...
...Sasuke is going to kill Dumbledore.
