Instant teleportation will always be faster than any movement, no matter how fast it is. Its just that Minatos body wasnt fast enough after he teleported, in other words, even though Minato appeared next to Madara instantly, his moves afterwards were easy to read for him.

But in exchange for range, Sasuke's eye lets him swap places with objects, it lets him move people/objects in range wherever he wants....with no markings. That is why Sasuke's eye is superior. Minato would have to have his chakra touching those he wants to move around, and he'd need clones and tags to perform Goshun Mawashi, which lets him switch places...but it only works with Hiraishin users.

FTG is better. It has better range, and what we thought made Sasuke's ST OP was that it didn't require markings and could go wherever he wanted, but now we know that that's not true. Sasuke has to view an object to switch with, which makes it difficult to use in combat since he has to search for something and then teleport whereas FTG users just teleport. This is made painfully clear since Sasuke has been having a horrible evasion record against Kaguya.

Pretty much this, the ablity to teleport without markings makes up to a limited range. It's an obvious and enormous advantage againts FTG's need of markings or contact with the user's chakra to teleport.

That is probably a way to overcome the large distance that was between them. He mentions the distance limit, but says this time it worked and it shows Sakura's jacket...but those scans show that he isn't swapping out with anyone when he teleports himself.

-Nothing to swap out when he teleported Kaguya and Madara.

-Nothing to swap out when he teleported against Madara, behind Naruto, and when he was going to try and kill blob Madara.
