Depending on which translation is more accurate, Sasuke noted that he'd like to repay his debts with his own body.

I honestly don't think Sasuke is going to get his left arm back. Even if he had the opportunity to, I think he would willingly deny it as a means of repentance for his past actions. The promotional art and scenes for The Last are sure making it a point to keep his left arm hidden. And I think it's a bit too obvious for him to just get his arm back. It would definitely be a missed opportunity for some significant character development.

I have to disagree here. He would still have, sage mode, bijuu mode and senjutsu of the 6 paths mode which in turn would still allow him to use truth seeking balls, chakara arms, bijuu bombs, all rasengan variants (including the ones from the bijuu powers like lava and magnet), flight, frog kata style, etc...

Remember: The sun seal was only responsible for Naruto's healing jutsu and six paths chibaku tensei. Losing that seal does not take away the bijuu chakara from Naruto nor the senjutsu of the six paths, (just as losing the moon seal did not take away Sasuke's rinnegan).

I absolutely agree 100%. It would show Sasuke's stubborn resolve better than anything else. It is way better than the thought I had about Minato losing both arms and Naruto ending up with Minato's right arm and Sasuke with his left. I like your theory way better.
