It's assumed that Hagoromo and Hamura sealed Kaguya but at the cost of Hamura, I think Sasuke will go the same way, maybe that's why he hasn't been shown in the new movie yet.

SASUKE'S GOAL:
To not let Itachi's treasured village become nothing. To show everyone what a shinobi is. He believes a true shinobi endures and shows sacrifice. Itachi is the primest example of this. What better way to show this than sacrifice himself to finish off Kaguya??

If either naruto or Sasuke have to go to seal Kaguya it's 100% Sasuke. It far more fits him than naruto and with this I feel his character progression up until now becomes complete. This is when I believe we see what he told Hagoromo before getting the yin seal.

Think about it: Sasuke is the only one who has a chance to cancel the IT... or so we thought. That's why the 4 kage and Hagoromo are there, to take care of that themselves.

you know what? ONLY naruto has been confirmed as the char who will appear in the new movie. the news about naruto and minato joining "the last" naruto movie is FALSE. they are NOT confirmed, yet. the source who posted that news was Naruto RTN facebook page, you can see in saiyan island there is no such news.
