Yeah no. Kishimoto's own words is that he designed Sasuke to be a rival. In many cases not only did he follow typical tropes but Sasuke's design was made to contrast Naruto's both in style and personality. I shouldn't have to point this out but we all know education is lacking here so let's play compare and contrast.
