So I read somewhere that the series was supposed to end in 2014 or 15. So i thought what if Naruto fails? And the world is plunged back in darkness. Or what if he only repeats the six paths actions and temporarily seals it.

What if Sasuke and has a kid with Karin, and reunites the two bloodlines, thus making a a new six paths. So yeah just another possibility, not probable but still possible.

If you consider the sage of 6p as part Hyuga and Uzumaki it is possible.
Uchihas got their eye powers from the Hyuga side of the family, and Senjus got their strong bodies from Uzumaki side of the family.
These four clans are related somehow and you better believe it!
