We have had plenty of threads recently, [and for good reason too], regarding the potentials that lay in store for Sasuke.
There have been very well thought out and detailed AND evidence backed claims for Sasuke recieving a new power, the most common one being the Rinnegan
With good basis too, Sasuke being the modern day Madara, [in terms of pain and stubbornness ,
it is easy to come to this hypothesis.
Thus i put my theory in now, Sasuke will may receive an upgrade to the Rinnegan eventually, however i feel for the close future he wont.
It Begins With Madara
Madara as we know recieved his Rinnegan, via transporting Hashirama's cells into his wounds.
However we also know that, it wasn't instant as he awoke the Rinnegan close to his "Life Span's End"
From recent chapters it has been hinted briefly, [although not confirmed explicitly], he achieved this through a very early stage, i might even suggest it began through years of studying the tablet he showed to Hashirama
Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan
I won't bother insulting your intelligence on going through how Madara obtained the EMS
The long story short, Izuna died, and from Madara's words, he was left the power by his late brother.
From his newly acquired powers, we can see Madara still lost his battle to Hashirama
although many of us can argue that from the Manga page panels, Tobirama and other Senju were present, Madara it seems was not as powerful as we have seen from the early snippets of the Final battle between himself and Hashirama
On the same page panel, we see Madara activate a regular Susaanoo, a feat achievable with a regular Mangekyou Sharingan, [again not meaning to insult intelligence], which may Hint at that Madara was not in complete control of his new powers.
The Final Battle - EMS Madara vs Hashirama
From what we saw between the battle of Hashirama and Madara, Madara demonstrated incredibly powerful new Jutsu
Including, managing to control the Kyuubi with apparent ease, as well as mend his Susaanoo to his pleasure, even covering the Kyuubi
You can argue that he had this ability from the moment he had his EMS activated, however it begs the question, why not use such power earlier?
Why Sasuke won't Receive any Power up from Meeting the Kage
This all leads me to my conclusion that Sasuke won't receive the Rinnegan so soon.
I believe Sasuke however after hearing this story, will decipher the rest of the Tablet he was unable to read
I say this based on Madara's statements, of "another interpretation":
I believe Madara finally discovered the true meaning behind his lineage and Dojutsu
and subsequently left to train his current eyes in order to be a match for Hashirama in battle, for a number of reasons:
1. Increase in strength in order to beat Hashirama prior to activation of the eyes
2. He may have been aware that it may not be successful, thus as a backup needed to kill Hashirama anyway
3. His hatred for his polar opposite pushed him to try and eliminate him
4. To make it seem that the battle was enough to destroy him, thus allowing him to move quietly from the shadows, and to also ensure his Eyes were ready for the transformation
I lean towards the 4th potential reason.
Thus i believe Sasuke will realise that he has the potential for the Rinnegan, but prior to this, will manage to discover some of his own EMS power.
We have to remember Hashirama is incredibly OP, but Madara was able to go TOE to TOE, and we STILL haven't seen the outcome of the battle.
I believe this meeting will strenghten Sasuke's resolve to destroy the Leaf and push him further from Naruto, to ensure the ultimate showdown in the future of the series.
