Sasuke can hurt Limbo clones. Make a black chidori blade and he can hurt them. The only problem is the shadows are equally as strong as Madara himself. Its literally beyond a challenge to defeat him. I camt even describe how hard itd be for Sasuke to manage to defeat Limbo along with Madara himself.

I think he can....but given the condition Naruto who was naturally absorbing natural energy and had perfect chakra understanding and control was the best choice at that time........Both were given rikudo chakra and if they used it on limbo clones both would have managed to take it out.....but i guess since naruto's cloak as well as tsb were already imbibed with rikudo chakra it made sense for him to focus his ninjutsu and taijutsu on attacking rather than for sasuke who would first have to knead that chakra into his jutsu's and then attack.....this is just my guess because i can find no other plausible answer

Obito used Kamui to open her dimensions, that proves that the dimensions a dojutsu can access are linked to Kaguya's. In addition, him and Sasuke proved that S/t feats Rinnegan and Sharingan have all come from the RinneSharingan.

Because the Rinnegan descends from the RinneSharingan, the ability to access to another dimension would also come from Kaguya's eye since that was one of her main power to begin with.

Therefore having access to Limbo would come from the RinneSharingan's ability to travel there, just like Obito's travelling to Kamui land comes from the fact Kaguya could travel to other dimensions. So since Sasuke has the RinneSharingan's S/t feat he should logically be able to travel to Madara's dimension.
