Zetsu is creation of hashirama dna.It is weaker version of hashirama wood clone.Zetsu can leave spore on it oponent to keep track on them.For example zetsu put spore on Kages during the summit

I believe obito was going to use the spore to make EMS sasuke fight Naruto to unlock rinnegan.

We already knew from Madara flash back he implanted senju dna into his body and over time he unlock rinnegan.The requirement for rinnegan are EMS and Senju dna.

Base sharingan Sasuke had the zetsu spores (containing senju dna ) when he was unconscious after defeated Itachi.Obito had treated sasuke wounds ,this was a perfect time to insert zetsu spore in his body.

The reason why i said Zetsu spores were present in Sasuke since his encounter with Obito because MS sasuke had zetsu spore when fighting Naruto.The zetsu spore emerge from sasuke to cushion the impact from the resengan and chidori collision.

EMS sasuke still had the zetsu spores in sasuke body .Orichimaru said the zetsu spore were their to keep an eye on sauske movement.

Since sasuke have the zetsu spore for a long period in his body,this mean sasuke need to undergo some stressful period now to unlock rinnegan.

OT: NO! Zetsu's were inside of Sasuke, but they were never a part of him! Sasuke does not have the rineegan, he doesn't have senju cells, and he is therefore unable to awaken the rinnegan. And spores don't go inside your cells, genius

Meh I think he's going to get the Rinnegan but not like that I mean would you really be ok with Sasuke gaining a power up for having someone tag onto him...without working to get a portion of that power...I don't know it seems a little to...free.

I'm hoping if he does get it it will be because he's injured and Zetsu is used to partially heal his body and even then it'd still be a little cheap for that.

However I do hope he doesn't gain the Rinnegan because then Naruto will be given another power up so he can beat Sasuke...

The only reason obito had spores inside sasuke was to keep tabs on him
Not to mention
Logically speaking it would take sasuke almost a life time to get rinnigan ... Madara the greatest uchia it took him life time

The Zetsu spore would have to merge with his body like Obito, instead of just sticking to him and coming out incase he's in danger. Though Kishi won't allow Sasuke to get the Rinnegan
