Chidori requires sharingan to be effective and more skill, rasengan is a technique that is pure force and Naruto uses huge rasengans to hit a large area because he isn't as technical as Sasuke.

You know what I find funny? How Naruto uses wind chakra but hasn't used it in anything other than his rasengan. Besides the time in one of the movies of course, but that really isn't main story line. Sasuke on the other hand has infused his sword with lightning, created new moves based off of lightning/chidori and can literally call forth Kirin when certain requirements are met/created. Naruto only made balls of wind... That send people flying in a spiral... Or he uses rasengan to literally crush his opponent. Not much skill on Naruto's end if you ask me but hey, it's his manga lol.

no.thats wrong.
actually he's correct, the Rasengan takes massive amounts of Chakara and in order to stablize it you need a major amount of focous, and it just doesn't fit sasuke's fighting style, no to mention, With the Sharingan, Sasuke can use the Chidori as a Complete jutsu, just like Kakashi, and of course, you gotta take into account that Kishimoto has a tendencie to make Parallel's in his story IE Naruto was taught the Rasengan in order to combat Sasuke being taught the Chidori, why would Sasuke be taught a Jutsu that was created by the Forth Hokage? not to mention it's not Kakashi's place to Teach that Technique to anyone, even if he was Minato's Student. It was ment to be passed down from Minato to Naruto to begin with.

jiraiya and kakashi both mentioned it.
Nope. Chidori could brake through Raiton no Yoroi while the Futon:Rasen Shuriken coudn't do it. Both jutsu, the Chidori and Rasengan, works differently. The base Rasengan is Keitaihenka on the highest level. Chidori on the other hand uses the properties of Raiton.
The Seishitsuhenka Raiton is like a very sharp blade, even sharper than Fūton-according to the databook.
Rasengan outranges Chidori, but Chidori is able to focus its power on a single spot and break through it.

That's why Sasukes Chidori pierced through Narutos body like paper. Narutos Rasengan coudn't do the same with Kabuto and with every other guy.
