Sasuke saw Naruto is stronger him. Why would Sasuke attack Naruto? A few chapters Sasuke defended Naruto (possibly with ulterior motives) but then Sasuke suddenly wants to kill Naruto, before Obito and Madara are dead.

Sasuke will get more powerups and be on a more even level with Naruto. That has always been Kishi's intention to keep them relatively equal. Naruto and Sasuke are supposed to represent the sages sons and Hashi and Madara. To right the wrongs of the past I think they will end up with complementary powers so they will have to work together. Each one will have powers or abilities that the other one lacks.

Being the heir the younger son probably had more power than the older one, Hashi was more powerful than Madara and we all know how that turned out. I believe their abilities will be split so that on any given day either one of them could win or it could be a draw. I think Hokages will be a thing of the past so that everyone will have more of a say in how the village is run. That really is the only way to right the wrongs of the past.

If Sasuke has any hope of making things up to the village he cannot kill the village hero who saved the village from Pain and Nagato. He is intelligent enough to know that.
