I believe that Sasuke truly had a change of heart because he was finally able to realize what Itachi was fighting for and he finally realized that the leaf village actually does not hate the Uchiha's after all, or at least not all of them including the higher ups. Sasuke will not go back to the leaf village after the war is over. In Sasuke's eyes he does not have anything left in the ninja world to live for. Sasuke's entire clan has been destroyed and his family is all dead the only thing he ever cared about is gone, therefore he will still fight Naruto and chose to die only by Naruto's hands in order to end his pain and suffering and finally join his clan and family members in peace.

I am glad he turned good. I predicted that along with him going to revive and talk to the hokages. People trolled and doubted me in both of those theory/threads and yet they came true.

they're not going to end the series with sasuke dying if kishimoto doesn't have to..it would be different if he was KIA but no he's not going to just die on a whim "in peace" ...nothing else to live for? that is why he would go back to the leaf. the only thing madara had left was hashiramas friendship and then he turned evil, the only thing sasuke has is naruto's friendship(everyone in the shinobi world wants to kill him..) and sasuke's character development decision here was meant to be the opposite of what madara did. he will continue to protect the leaf, and I'm predicting if jugo doesn't die in the upcoming battles(which i do think will happen) in an act to save sasuke, i bet you he joins the leaf village too. Sasuke will probably tell naruto that he will protect the village from the inside or outside after the war is over and if Naruto wins, Sasuke will protect the leaf from the inside, live there, and Naruto will have succeeded in bringing back Sasuke. Be realistic when u make predictions

If he stayed evil, he cant still beat Naruto. He's no match. Anyway, the whole point of this story has always been on redemption. I knew that Sasuke and Naruto tag team will be back. After the war, he'll live a happy life in Konoha and choose between Sakura and Karin or probably, both.

I doubt Sasuke will do that, Itachi wanted one thing from him and that was to live. He also has the love of Naruto and Sakura. They would only kill him if he was too far gone and could never be redeemed. They already accepted that the first time.
