As much as I would like to see him return to the Konoha, I don't think he will. He will eventually challenge the elders of the Leaf. I think the elders are greater than Danzo, but a little less than Hiruzen and they will kick that ass. It's a reason why they're the elders in the first place. And look at how much trouble Danzo gave Sasuke. Almost killed him twice. Saying othewise is just stupid. The Elders will give Sasuke a challenge, no doubt. Plus, Danzo, the Elders, and a few ANBU were said to be enough to quietly take out the Uchiha clan. That's saying something.

Yes, as I've mentioned earlier, there is a reason that they're elders and that the Shodaime Hokage entrusted them with the village. Madara himself said that the current shinobi are weaker than the shinobi of the past. I think this will show if Sasuke fights the elders.

Sasuke wins without breaking a sweat. Maybe add Team Konohamaru, Kurenei and a dozen Anbu Black Ops agents and then we have a fight but probably not.

How do the elders counter amaterasu now that they are old and will have very low speed stats. Their stamina must also be pretty pathetic. I just don't see how they stand a chance tbh.
