Please actually take the time to read and analyze this thread before posting any comment.

I strongly believe that Sasuke will not destroy the village for so many reasons, and in chapter 620 there's a huge hint actually leading to that and I'll explain why.

For starters, Sasuke is right in the middle of Konoha, for him to destroy it right now would be too easy. Plus the village was just rebuilt after the invasion of Pain and for it to be destroying again would just be flat out redundant.

Another reason, do you guys even take into consideration the effect that Sasuke's destruction on Konoha would have on the characters of the series and I'm not just talking about Naruto in particular. A perfect example would be Shikamaru, he promised Asuma to look after Kurenai and her child and that was good character development for him. So if Sasuke were to kill everyone in Konoha including Kurenai and her child, then that would just devastate Shikamaru because he's been through a lot, especially since he recently lost his dad, and pulling himself together was probably hard, just imagine how Shikamaru would feel if Kurenai and her child were to actually die.

So if Kishimoto actually allows Sasuke to destroy the village, not only would that have an affect on the characters of the series, but at the same time, he would be destroying Shikamaru's promise to look after Asuma's child and also completely shitting all over his character development throughout Part II.

Also, Sasuke said that based on what Hashirama would say to him, he would either crush Konoha or something else.

Now ask yourself, why would Kishi suddenly cut off Sasuke's sentence like that? Is it a hint as to what Sasuke's final decision is going to be? Only time will tell.

Another thing, Hashirama said that he was going to try and change Sasuke with his story, otherwise he'll become the new Madara.

But if Sasuke still wants to destroy Konoha after this, do you guys honestly think that Hashirama is just going to let him go, I mean he freed himself from the Edo Tensei and we cannot deny the fact that Hashirama would absolutely destroy Sasuke. So that right there already proves that Sasuke is not going to destroy the village after Hashirama's story and if Sasuke were to die, it should at the end of the series. Also, if Sasuke refuses to change his views on Konoha, then what would be the whole point of Hashirama's story. Even if it does include Madara vs Hashirama, would that just be the whole point of the flashback, just to reveal what happened during a fight? Kishi does not reveal flashbacks like these without a reason.

I honestly don't know what affect Hashirama's story will have on Sasuke, but I believe Minato will play a huge role in all of this, because Kishimoto brought him back for a reason, I don't know what it really is, but I can honestly believe that Minato will tell Sasuke about the Kyuubi Attack:
Remember when Obito posing as Madara told Sasuke the truth about Itachi and how he said that the Nine-Tails attack on Konoha was a natural occurrence:

That was the one part that Obito actually lied about cause if think about it because Obito was the one controlling the Nine-Tails to attack the village the Elders were right to suspect an Uchiha behind the attack and it was because of this suspicion that the Elders decided to relocate the Uchiha to another section of the village and put them under heavy surveillance. The Uchiha were obviously upset over this so they started planning to overthrow the village. Itachi disagreed with this coup d'état so he told the Elders what the Uchiha were planning and because there was no time to negotiate with the Uchiha, the Elders forced Itachi to slaughter his own clan and pretty sure you guys no what happens next.

So if you really think about it, that attack on Konoha is what lead to the Uchiha's demise years later, and if Minato were to tell Sasuke that a "Masked Man" with the ability to make himself intangible was behind it, then Sasuke would be so pissed realizing that his clan is gone because of this very man who used the Nine-Tails to attack Konoha.

So he shouldn't really be taking his revenge out on the village he needs to take it out on Obito.
And Sasuke has seen Tobi's ability so he would know who Minato was talking about.

With all that said, if Sasuke was smart, and decided to go to the battlefiled to take out Obito, it would definitely tie in to what Kishi said in an interview about him last summer:

Now how Naruto will react to Sasuke joining the fight I am not sure, but Sasuke's target would still be Obito. With all this being said, in the end the only person that decides Sasuke's path is Kishimoto and I trust him to make Sasuke think more clearly and make the right choice after all this is said and done.

What do you guys think?

Didn't read all, Sasuke doesn't have the Uchiha balls to do sh!t to konoha while there's Hashirama and Naruto around. Those two could stomp that crazy kid.

And all promises aren't meant to be kept their going to die anyways, and if Sasuke picks to destroy the village he'll go through the first and the rest without hesitation but for now he wants the truth he'll beat them but of course plot no jutsu, its still not an excuse since all Naruto fights are plot no jutsu.

I have read this theory before ........

and I agree Sasuke will not destroy Konoha nor he can when he has to go Hashirama and remaining hokages........

If Sasuke tries to be too smart 4 hokages will takes turns and beat sasuke to pulp and heal him in order to do the same again

First of all, Lord Sasuke said he would destroy Naruto first before crushing Konoha. The next thing is that he is not the same old "kid" anymore that could be manipulated by anyone. He is starting to think clearly, and for himself.

Let's say if he wants to destroy Konoha, it would be too easy even if Hashi got in the way.

I agree. He really doesn't seem to be as hell bent one thing for very long.. especially after he learns the truth about things. In the beginning of the story we saw that with him. He wanted nothing to do with the others, only wanted to get revenge. Then he learned what it was like to have friends and lost sight of that goal. Then his rival seemed to be better than him and he learned he wasn't yet strong enough to kill Itachi when he faced him, which made him leave. He then learned or realized that Orochimaru only taught him to use his body and not to have around as an equal or w/e.. so then he left there. Skip a bit further and he learned half the story about the Leaf and the truth about Itachi (this is after he killed him). With only half of the story he decided to go take his anger(with good reason) out on the place that drove his brother on his path and to his death. HOWEVER, here he is going to learn the other half of the Leaf and then some (what every village and shinobi mean and what went down the night of the 9 tails attack happened.. I think some people noted the Uchiha weren't anywhere to be found around then) SO. With that said, it's time for him to change again and for the final time.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
