The whole sasukes revolution idea was right that when a common enemy would go
the villages would return to their ways. Kishimoto needed a strong counter argument
to sasukes theory but he did not provide us with anything. We were never even shown
how the villages turned out after the war. The gokage meeting was the same as that
in the time of hashirama and it does not imply that peace had been achieved especially
since the tsuchikage and the mizukage still cared about their pride when naruto appeared
late.

Just a simple naruto-sasuke fight was not enough to counter this ideology. We needed
more which was not provided.

Keep in mind that anything in the movie would not be taken seriously as the manga has
actually ended and it is probably not written by kishimoto.

Sasuke said he had the power, but a powerless one was able to do a tie with him, meaning that his revolution would eventually be for naught.

Didn't Naruto say he will break the cycle of hatred when he talked to Nagato.

simply the ending of the war would not have brought peace as sasuke said. Kishimoto needed to show ninshuu as a means of attaining peace but he didnt

He did give Sasuke a different path towards peace in which sasuke would not have to suffer

That's completely right. The increase in technology shows that war has stopped enough for technology to bring them into the modern age. BUT

peace doesn't last. Oh I don't think it will ever be on a scale as large it was but

1) from what we know, this is still a feudal system.
2) We can infer that the reason there is a feudal system with daimyo in place is because the power of shinobi scared everyone from rebelling.
3) the lack of military power in the world means that it takes one good famine or inflation and the common people will get angry. Angry at those they don't see suffering as they are from lack of money.
4) Eventually they'll have to deal with the angry people, hence war.

The thing is that periods of conflict are cyclical, caused often by economic issues as well as ethnic conflicts. Shinobi have been defending the status quo for a long time and now that people are lax, it is easier to forget how strong some of them are. Honestly, I'm pretty sure by the time Bolt's generation is their teens, they'll be swept into a war of some sort.
