Sasuke was blessed with a brief moment to prepare for Madara's return from the Kamui demension. This would have been the perfect time to try and set up conditions for Kirin!

Maybe use that time to pop off a couple of those into the air along with some Enton to create the thunder clouds necessary for Kirin?

Kirin doesn't require very much chakra, Sasuke used it for the first and only time when he was nearly empty.
