Personally, I still don't believe Sasuke is truly good. I think he is more like "I will become Hokage, and if you don't like that then I will have to make you like it" i.e. a dictator who will use force to get what he wants. Of course he knows that no one in the village respects him, and of course he knows that he has no chance of becoming Hokage given his past, hence why I believe he will be someone who uses force to get what he wants. I further believe this to be true when he said "I don't care what you think about me" to Kiba, one can not become Hokage when no one supports him, I'm sure Sasuke knows this and knows that force is the only option. You can't honestly expect him to go from "I WILL DESTROY KONOHA!" to someone like Naruto in a few chapters.
