He said that before using the 5th gate bruh. He obviously didn't wanted to brag about his abilities to Neji.
Anyway, Neji defeats any version of Sasuke before the Chidori training, but Sasuke clearly matched Neji's level at that point.

Im sorry but Sasuke most deff beats Neji. His Speed and Taijutsu was slightly faster and stronger as Lee without weights , Neji's speed is just about equal to Lee's seeing that Neji's speed was not even faster than Naruto's speed when enhanced by Kurama's chakra . Not only that but Sasuke has the sharingan , he can easily see all of neji's movements and counter it. Also you got to take into account that nothing in Neji's arsenal is stopping Sasuke's chidori not even his Rotation. Might Gai said it himself that the way to beat Neji is high-speed combos, Sasuke has that and many more up his sleeve such as Chidori , shurikens, fire styles and etc. Can I also mention that Sasuke basically defeated Gaara while Lee couldnt . Mind you Lee surpassed Neji going into the 5th gate and couldnt get passed him while Sasuke pierced through his defense wouldve defeat Gaara had he not fled.

Neji kills Sasuke Low-diff/mid diff.
In CQC Neji absolutely mauls him. Shuriken and other ranged weapons are useless and Sasuke's rash fighting will see him dashing towards Neji first which is the opposite of Neji's fighting style. The moment Sasuke throws his first punch/kick is when Neji would react to it then apply Jyuken and each time Sasuke throws his attacks he'll get his points in the arms/legs/torso closed simply because having his attack"S" twarted leaves him open to Neji's tenketsu and jyuken attacks which is why they need to be parried away or evaded in the heat of Taijutsu.
Neji exploits the precise timing of impact , then when u consider Sasuke's Taijutsu style which always leaves him open for enemy's to grab/touch his limbs on mutiple occasions when trying to open them up for a clean hit which would get him killed against Neji.
The moment he even attempts to offensively outperform Neji and Jyuken especially with that chain style of combat is when he'll get jyuken channeled into each limb that gets touched or grabbed by Neji's hands...
Sasuke isn't on the speed tier needed to blitz or even impress Neji who didn't even acknowledge Lee's speed w/o weights as anything noteworthy of a challenge not to mention it being made clear that Lee needed much higher tiers of speed to even stand a chance in Taijutsu meaning the likes of 1sT/2nd Gated Lee still wasn't enough much less Sasuke's base speed and copy paste of lee's taijutsu.
2T Sharingan isn't gonna help him much in Taijutsu considering Byakugan having the better attack tracking which along with having no precog , Neji's casual reaction/reflex speed was fast enough to impress Kakashi/Hiruzen who noted that regardless of Sharingan/Byakugan its a feat of note in terms of reaction/accuracy/speed to hit tenketsu mid-battle which is huge considering how much these specific eyes raise reaction speed.
Then considering the advantage Jyuken poses against any area Neji touches or glances on Sasuke's whole body not to mention the option of guarding against his Taijutsu via Jyuken , it should be clear to logical thinkers that Neji kills him neg diff in Taijutsu .
Fire-style which was seen in the forest is easily anticipated and avoided. Chidori is countered by Kaiten and can very likely be countered by physical reaction due to Neji's reflexes which Lee needed Ura renge levels of speed to outperform in canon. So Sasuke isn't blitzing Neji with Chidori and even if one wanted to argue Chidori breaching Kaiten then Sasuke would still get most of the damage from the explosion especially his arm , so at absolute worse Neji still beats him mid diff.

Those stats are for Base Sasuke. Not Sasuke w/ any type of Sharingan. So throwing up stats and then saying your favorite wins without actually putting thought into what you're saying doesn't help. In fact I know you went to stats because actually looking at the feats tells you that Neji is inferior.
-Sasuke copied Lee's movement speed during CE. Vote Sasuke>>CE Sasuke. Weightless Lee at that time is faster than Neji.
