Well Mashashi has said that they would fight so lets see how it would happen and what would be the cause; e.g. Madara and Hashirama still had a final fight to the death after becoming friends and setting up Konoha.

Naruto and Sasuke fighting has been hyped in games,ovas, and the anime,but I don't recall kishimoto really confirming the rematch

Who knows? Maybe kishimoto will write another fight but something tells me he learned a thing 2 from CC2

Kishimoto confirmed in a interview that they will fight. And if they don't go all out it would be an insult to all the build up to the fight.

I love how sakura and hinata are waiting to see which or their men are going to come on top. Sakura for sasuke and hinata for naruto.

Hmmm my guess is they will fight, but not as enemies,but as rivals finally settling their dispute. My prediction: after madara and obito and such has been dealt with they will have a final battle to see who the better ninja is.
